Find Your Favourite Living Room Floor That Can Also Handle All Facets of Your Family Life

I’ve been so obsessed with my living room lately that I totally forgot to pay attention to the parts of my house that need constant attention like the garden, and my indoors plants. Poor things, they’ve started to die slowly! It’s just that I’m changing the floors in the living room because I want to achieve a more warm look, something cozier and more appealing to the eye since without the large carpets covering the entire floor surface, the current flooring I have is just hideous.

From all the possible options that include hardwood, laminate and vinyl, I chose a lovely aged oak coloured sheet vinyl flooring that goes perfectly well with my overall room design and emits the dose of warmth I want to achieve. Plus, everyone in the family loves it – my two daughters find it very fancy (as they’ve described it), my husband is happy that it doesn’t require that much maintenance and I am just in love with how the sheet vinyl complements my entire interior design. Perfect! Because we’re all so thrilled about the change, I decided to present to you the many advantages of having your floors changed and particularly, installing vinyl flooring.

Warm touch to your feet

Nobody wants the cold feeling to their feet when stepping barefoot on the floor. And especially not if you’ve just snuggled in your blanket on the bed and you need to get up because you need the remote, or a new drink, or something to eat. Vinyl flooring offers a certain degree of softness to the touch and has the ability to be combined with underfloor heating. A win-win.

Low maintenance

When the cleaning moment comes, we all change our facial expression – nobody wants to deal with the piles of dust on the floor. As I assume, you’re also one of these people and I’d suggest you look for flooring that comes with a sealed surface and anti-static joints which prevent dust to get stuck to the floor. This is the perfect floor type for swift cleaning which can extend your relaxation time a lot by cutting the time you spend with the mop in your hand.

Durability for years

For your floors to last for a long time, you want them to have some important characteristics:

  • be reinforced with a layer of certain material that will offer optimum appearance retention;
  • be carborundum-free but have aluminium oxide particles incorporated in their structure so traction can be reduced to minimum;
  • have a wet slip resistance layer that will last for their entire lifespan;
  • they come with a warranty by the manufacturer.
