The Attractive Side of Heart Rate Monitor Watches

While trying to keep up with the new trends of healthy living, there is a lot of tech that comes our way. Many things that seemed to be unimaginable a couple years ago technology-wise, today we find ourselves holding or wearing them. Such incredibly sophisticated and modern gadgets are heart rate monitor watches.

So, How Do Heart Rate Monitor Watches Work?

The heart releases electrical signals that are sent through the muscles and can be detected through the skin. That is why the heart rate monitor chest strap needs to be in contact with your skin so that it displays the numerical values of the beating heart. These watches are so great because they motivate you while exercising, showing you how much calories you have burned as well as how hard you are working, so that you can decide whether to slow down or push harder.

Along with living life to the fullest, spending time with my family and loved ones, regular exercising is on my top priority list. I have test-driven a lot of smart watches and majority of them had two things in common – the high price tag and low battery life. Only a few models proved to be true and do as the manufacturer claims.

Forerunner-620

Garmin Heart Rate Monitor Watches: Forerunner 620

Garmin Forerunner 620 is the best heart rate monitor watch that I have ever owned and used. It is like having a personal coach giving you advice every step of your exercising. Yes, it is that good. It comes with a GPS that features live tracking, automatic updates to garmin connect and social media sharing. The feature that spiked my interest was the VO2 max estimate which helped me to keep track of my progress and achieve my daily goals. VO2 max gives the information about your athletic abilities, the number rates to the maximum volume of O2 you can consume per minute, per kilogram of body weight at your maximum performance.

Forerunner 620 improves your recovery time in between workouts, learns your physiology based on your heart rate and can display how much time you need before you have fully recovered and are ready for your next run! The touch screen is of highest quality possible and does not malfunction in case you accidentally hit a button. Yes, it is a bit on the expensive side, but you know what they say, you get what you pay for! If you are searching for a superior way of measuring your fitness improvement and monitoring your heart rate, I personally recommend the Forerunner. You deserve only the best!

miCoach-SMART-RUN

Adidas Heart Rate Monitor Watches: miCoach SMART RUN

Designed with well-known elegance of Adidas, miCoach SMART RUN provides an advanced intuitive blend of coaching and performance data to help you maximize your exercise. Simple and clean in design, this amazing watch offers heart rate monitoring, Bluetooth 4.0, WLAN, a wireless music player and coloured touch screen. However, there are some downsides such as the GPS constantly falling out in places where my smartphone usually has a good signal. Sometimes it restarts while running, probably because its touch screen is too sensitive.

polar-FT1

Polar Heart Rate Monitor Watches – FT1

This is one of the cheapest heart rate monitor watches that offer you basic functions for your daily exercises. It provides you with an accurate heart rate that will help you safely exercise at the right intensity. The numbers are easy to read and programming is also very simple. However, it is not as elegant as other heart rate monitor watches and it has only one button which can be very annoying. Also, in case you break the band, you might as well throw it in the trash bin because there is no way of replacing it. Another downfall is that if your skin is not moisturised, chances are the chest strap will not work.
